The Judicial Police (PJ) have reported that the victims are two teenagers, aged 15 and 16, who are “direct relatives” of the suspect.
The investigation was initiated following a complaint filed by the 16-year-old victim after experiencing a “significant sexual act” committed by the suspect.
“During the filing of the complaint, the victim also revealed having been subjected to sexual abuse by the suspect between the ages of 6 and 10,” the statement adds.
As the investigation proceeded, the PJ confirmed the “consistency” of the reported facts and identified at least one more victim.
The suspect was detained on Wednesday and brought to court, where he was subjected to the coercive measures of biweekly police station appearances and required to keep a distance of at least 500 meters from the victims.
