Tension escalated between the police and several residents, including men, women, and children, who were calling for “another solution” and requested a meeting with the Mayor of Loures, Ricardo Leão.
According to the Vida Justa movement and lawyers present, the operation is being conducted without a judicial warrant.
By 11:20 am, some residents laid down at the entrance of the neighborhood, attempting to block the vehicles deployed for the demolitions.
