An alert was issued at 5:48 PM, and the pilot of the aircraft did not require medical assistance, stated the AMN in a communication.
Members from the Portimão Maritime Police command and the Ferragudo lifeboat station crew were dispatched to the site to assist the pilot.
The AMN also mentioned that the lifeboat station crew towed the aircraft, which had “positive buoyancy,” to the ramp at the Calhau pier, at the mouth of the Arade River.
