
Four individuals were arrested for drug trafficking on Friday after being caught in the act of selling narcotics at the Boom Festival, held in Idanha-a-Nova, the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) reported on Saturday.
In a statement, the PJ explained that the arrests of two men and two women were conducted in close collaboration with the National Unit for Combating Drug Trafficking and the Central Directorate.
The four detainees, all foreign nationals, were involved in selling various drugs at the festival site.
The following items were seized:
- 354 MDMA tablets;
- 53 grams of powdered MDMA;
- 31 grams of DMT (a mixture of plant species);
- 18 vapes containing DMT (and 5 smoking devices);
- 325 micro tabs impregnated with LSD;
- 69 pyramids impregnated with LSD;
- 750 micrograms of liquid LSD;
- 135 tablets containing 2CB;
- 63 grams of ketamine;
- 54 hallucinogenic mushrooms;
- Mescaline;
- More than ten thousand euros in cash from sales.
The PJ added that the detainees, aged 37, 36, 28, and 23, will be brought before a judge for an initial judicial hearing to determine appropriate preventive measures.
The investigations are under the jurisdiction of the DIAP of Castelo Branco.
