Marés Vivas Festival in Gaia returns in 2026 from July 17 to 19.

“Much like it’s been in the past, we will hold Marés Vivas on the third weekend of July, that is, on July 17, 18, and 19,” stated Jorge Lopes.

Regarding next year’s lineup, he mentioned that work has been underway for some time, with names expected to be announced “very soon.”

Jorge Lopes indicated that the festival will continue in the same vein, showcasing both national and international artists to appeal to various generations.

“This way, we please everyone and all age groups,” he emphasized.

The 18th edition of the festival, which began on Friday and concludes today, saw a sold-out crowd over the three days, with 120,000 attendees, according to the official.

“We had three days of full capacity, which is great. For instance, today’s tickets sold out about two months ago, and the first day sold out a month ago,” he detailed.

This indicates that Marés Vivas “is going strong” and that people enjoyed this year’s lineup, noted the director of PEV Entertainment.

“We’ve had three fantastic days, with great musical moments, and most importantly, it’s pleasing to see people leaving happy and loving the festival,” reiterated Jorge Lopes.

The plan for future editions is to grow, both in terms of audience and space, but especially in terms of venue access.

“More than growing in audience, we want to grow consistently. And when we grow, the venue and the city itself must be prepared to welcome people because we’re talking about 40,000 attendees,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, the sponsorship and events manager for Meo, Pedro Laranjeira, stated that the partnership with PEV Entertainment is “very happy” and will “definitely continue in the future.”

“This is the 13th year of this very happy partnership with PEV. And I think this year is proof, the acid test that indeed, this is a successful partnership. We’ve had three days of an absolutely full house,” he highlighted.

Pedro Laranjeira recalled that, similar to last year, the festival introduced the Música com Sentido project, which included sign language interpreters, sensory vests, and accessibility platforms.

“The goal is to ensure that everyone has an equitable experience regardless of their condition,” he concluded.

Performers at the Marés Vivas festival, held at the former Madalena campsite, included artists such as Scorpions, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Ozuna, Pedro Sampaio, Hybrid Theory, Xutos e Pontapés, Miguel Araújo & Os Quatro e Meio, Tiago Nacarato, and Zarco.

The venue, spread over five stages, also featured a Ferris wheel and a slide, two of this edition’s novelties.
