A source from the Territorial Command of the GNR in Viana do Castelo reported that an alert was issued at 08:53 by a passerby on Rua Eira de Baixo in the parish of Grovelas, Ponte da Barca.
Upon their arrival, authorities found a man, approximately 50 years old, exhibiting “incoherent speech.”
Due to the severity of the injuries, “the INEM helicopter was activated,” transporting the man to the Burn Unit of the University Hospital of Coimbra.
The case has been handed over to the Judiciary Police.
