Rock NO Rio Febras in Guimarães opens its doors for two days of festival

The small music festival held on the banks of the River Febras, Guimarães, in the Braga district, achieved national prominence in 2023 after the Rock in Rio Lisbon requested the former Rock in Rio Febras to change its name due to trademark infringement and unfair competition concerns, now calling itself Rock NO Rio Febras.

“The gates open at 18:00 on Friday and 16:00 on Saturday. On both days, the last entry is at 02:30. If you leave to fetch a jacket from your car, you won’t be re-admitted. Everyone needs a wristband, even newborns. Without it, entry is denied. The box office opens from 14:30 on Friday and 11:00 on Saturday and closes at midnight,” stated Rock NO Rio Febras on social media, maintaining its traditional humorous tone.

The lineup includes NSC (18:00), Filipe Oliveira and Emanuel Magalhães (19:30), Copa Funda (21:00), José Pinhal – Post Mortem Experience (22:00), Travo (23:30), Pluto (01:00), and Jorge Lopes (02:30).

Saturday highlights include The Dandy Warhols (23:00) and Linda Martíni (01:00).

Additionally, performers such as Jorge Vieira and Guilherme Estêvão (16:00), Zamora (17:30), Growing Circles (18:30), Indigu (19:30), Paraguai (21:00), Rafaello (21:50), Daniel Almeida (02:15), and DJ Pedro Conde (03:30) will also appear, with the latter closing the festival.

As in previous editions since 2022, entry is free but requires an access pass, available for reservation on the event website.

“This year, you can even sleep by the river! A free campsite is available in Briteiros – registration on the website because we are modern and organized (sometimes). For those who want to bring their home on wheels and a full fridge, a motorhome park will also be available, with registration handled by the adorable Movaci team,” the organizers informed in a prior communication to Lusa.

Besides the musical acts and DJ Sets, Febras 2026 offers additional attractions.

“We will have yoga for stretching both spine and soul, walks to help beer settle, discussions to make us seem cultured, exhibitions, encounters, misadventures, loves, heartbreaks, and… sparkling water for the adventurous. In other words, there’s no shortage of anything. Even a yellow poster with a lemon taped on with duct tape (art can be whatever you want!)” the organizers emphasized.

Rock NO Rio Febras reminds attendees that all proceeds are donated to Casa do Povo de Briteiros, a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS).
