The young individuals were detained for assaulting another 18-year-old individual approximately a week ago in Albufeira. They have been banned from traveling to this municipality in the Faro district and from leaving their respective areas of residence. These additional coercive measures were imposed by the Portimão court, where they were heard, as stated in a security force communiqué.
On Thursday, the GNR reported that the suspects had been identified and located following an investigation into a robbery involving violent assaults on an 18-year-old, which occurred in Albufeira.
“During the police procedures, the Guard’s officers intercepted the five suspects and detained them, also managing to seize five mobile phones,” the GNR stated.
The detainees were presented today before a judge in the Judicial Court of Portimão for their initial judicial interrogation. They are now required to report to the police station in their area of residence biweekly, refrain from traveling to Albufeira, and not leave their respective areas of residence as coercive measures.
