The outgoing governor of the Banco de Portugal (BdP), Mário Centeno, gave his first interview on Friday following the announcement of his departure, which was revealed this week by the Government.
The Government has appointed Álvaro Santos Pereira to replace Centeno, who completed a term at the institution.
