According to a police statement, an arrest was made at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday on Rua da Herança following neighbors’ reports that the suspect attempted to shoot animals and threatened the lives of nearby residents.
During the execution of search warrants, police reported the seizure of a .22 caliber carbine with a silencer and telescopic sight, two air guns, two long firearms, 554 pyrotechnic detonators, and 17 dynamite sticks.
The police also noted the confiscation of 103 cartridges of 12 mm, 18 rounds of 6.35 mm caliber, eight pellets of 4.5 mm caliber, 61 rounds of 9 mm caliber, and 402 rounds of 22 mm caliber, in addition to a pair of binoculars.
Presented to the competent judicial authorities, the individual was subjected to psychological treatment, prohibited from contacting or approaching neighbors, required to wear an electronic bracelet, and must maintain a distance of 500 meters from the residence, according to the statement.
