
A spokesperson from the Algarve Sub-regional Command of ANEPC reported that the collision occurred on National Road 125 (EN125), in the Pedras de El-Rei area of Santa Luzia, in the municipality of Tavira.
According to the ANEPC’s online portal, the alarm was raised at 01:50, prompting the deployment of 17 personnel and six emergency vehicles to the scene.
The spokesperson stated that the deceased victim and the injured individual were transported to Faro Hospital, where the death was confirmed.
The collision necessitated the closure of traffic on the EN125 between 02:00 and 05:33, the same source added.
