A man allegedly threatened a woman with a knife on Saturday afternoon at Fórum Montijo, in the Setúbal district.
According to the National Republican Guard (GNR), the attacker and the victim “knew each other,” although the nature of their relationship is unclear.
The woman was accompanied by another man when the alleged attacker threatened them with the knife but did not physically attack either of them.
By the time GNR officers arrived, the suspect had already left the scene. The woman did not file a complaint at that moment, though she indicated she “intended to.”
Videos circulating on social media show a person running in Fórum Montijo, with a woman shouting someone’s name. Others in the food court area witnessed the incident and are also visible in the footage.
