An accident involving two buses on Avenida D. João V in Damaia, in the municipality of Amadora, resulted in seven injuries on Friday morning. The collision occurred when one of the buses rear-ended the other.
The information was confirmed by the Commander of the Amadora Fire Department, who stated that the injured parties were transported to Hospital Amadora-Sintra and Hospital São Francisco Xavier, with injuries considered to be minor.
Both buses sustained “significant damage,” and the street is currently closed to traffic.
In addition to the firefighters, three ambulances and the municipal police were present at the scene. The PSP has been summoned but has not yet arrived.
The civil protection website, updated at 9:28 AM, reports that 22 operatives and nine vehicles are on the ground.
