A dog was rescued on Friday by the Maritime Authority of Peniche after becoming isolated on a cliff.
The pet was trapped approximately 30 meters high at Praia dos Frades in Atouguia da Baleia, Peniche.
In a statement, the authority reported receiving the alert around 8:10 PM from passersby who saw the animal stranded.
The local command elements were immediately activated, along with the high-angle team of Peniche Volunteer Firefighters, the note adds.
The dog was successfully rescued and returned to its owners uninjured.
