Lisbon Stock Exchange rises with BCP gaining 4% and Mota-Engil 5%

The benchmark PSI index gained 1.35% to reach 7,729.71 points, with just four of the 15 listed companies in the red, while the remaining were in positive territory.

Leading the gains was Mota-Engil, advancing 5.72% to 4.69 euros, followed by BCP, which rose 4% to 0.74 euros, and Jerónimo Martins, which added 2.92% to 21.14 euros.

Other companies gaining more than 1% included CTT, with shares rising 2.19% to 7.47 euros, REN, climbing 1.52% to 3.01 euros, Sonae, up 1.27% to 1.27 euros, and NOS growing 1.09% to 3.69 euros.

On the downside, EDP Renováveis lost 0.29% to 10.31 euros, Galp Energia fell 0.25% to 16.29 euros, and Semapa dropped 0.80% to 17.36 euros.

Across major European markets, the day also saw gains of around 1%: Paris rose 1.14%, Frankfurt 1.42%, Madrid 1.84%, and London 0.66%.
