
A 49-year-old man was shot dead in his own home in Arroja, Odivelas, Lisbon district, on the night of Wednesday, August 13.
The Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto that the man died after being shot in the neck.
After the PSP conducted its investigative duties, the case was handed over to the Polícia Judiciária (PJ).
The body was transported to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
The crime, reported by Jornal de Notícias (JN), occurred around 11:30 p.m. The shooter, who has already been identified, fled the scene and remains at large.
Authorities are still investigating the motives behind the homicide, with the main line of inquiry suggesting a drug-related conflict.
