Of the 15 listed companies that make up the PSI, 11 saw a decrease while four experienced gains.
Leading the declines was Galp, falling 2.28% to 16.08 euros.
Other significant losses included BCP, which dropped 1.23% to 0.76 euros, and CTT, which fell 1.15% to 7.71 euros.
With decreases below 1% were Sonae SGPS (1.30 euros), Semapa (17.72 euros), Navigator (3.27 euros), Ibersol (9.62 euros), Altri (5.03 euros), Corticeira Amorim (7.58 euros), Jerónimo Martins (20.78 euros), and EDP Renováveis (9.62 euros).
Conversely, leading the gains was EDP, which rose 0.85% to 3.70 euros.
Also posting gains below 1% were NOS (3.80 euros), Mota-Engil (5.47 euros), and REN (2.96 euros).
Elsewhere in Europe, Madrid advanced 1.24%, Paris 0.84%, Frankfurt 0.79%, and London 0.13%.
