A vehicle fire on N117, at Estrada dos Cabos d’Ávila in Amadora, disrupted traffic towards Lisbon-Sintra near the A1/CRIL exit this morning. The situation was resolved shortly after without any injuries.
According to the National Authority for Civil Protection (ANPC), three support vehicles were dispatched to the scene: two from the fire department and one from the PSP.
The alert was issued at 7:19 AM on Wednesday regarding a passenger vehicle that was on fire.
Images shared on social media show the scene caused by the flames, with the vehicle, a van, parked at the roadside.
By 8:30 AM, the situation was under control, with traffic returning to normal, and no injuries were reported, only material damage.
