A fire broke out in the Vila Alva area, with the alert being raised at 17:21, according to the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
The flames are consuming brush, pasture, holm oaks, and cork oaks.
As of 20:00, Civil Protection reported that 100 personnel were engaged in fighting the fire, supported by 36 vehicles and one aerial unit.
The same source confirmed that, at this time, there were no injuries or homes at risk.
