
The Atrium Saldanha shopping center in Lisbon has reopened its doors after being closed for a month due to damages caused by the Martinho depression, Atrium Bire, SIGI, S.A. announced on Monday in a statement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
The announcement follows the completion of necessary work required after the damages caused by the “Depression Martinho” on the night of March 20.
“As previously disclosed, this exceptional weather phenomenon caused significant damage to the building’s roof, leading to its temporary closure, notably impacting its commercial area. The repair and cleaning work necessary for the building’s reopening has been completed, meeting all safety and quality standards,” the statement reads.
The company confirms that all conditions for the normal functioning of the building, owned by its subsidiary Atrium Saldanha – SIC Imobiliária Fechada, S.A., have been restored, adhering to the safety and quality standards that have always characterized its operation. The commercial areas of the building have been reopened today to all customers, workers, tenants, retailers, and the general public.
