According to information released today by Livre, in response to the question “should Livre support the candidacy of member Jorge Pinto” for President of the Republic, 67.3% (819 votes) of the members responded affirmatively.
The party also questioned which candidacy from another political area Livre should support, with the former PS leader António José Seguro receiving the most votes.
Seguro garnered the preference of 17.63% of the voters, followed by António Filipe (8.47%) and Catarina Martins (4.90%).
Livre, in the note accompanying the results, considers that “the results were clear, demonstrating a majority support for candidate Jorge Pinto, with 2/3 of the votes.”
In the same note, it clarifies that the final decision on the party’s support in the presidential election will be made by the Party Assembly, which meets today at 21:00 to deliberate based on the results of this consultation.
