
An ambulance collided with a light vehicle around noon on Wednesday in Pontinha, Odivelas, resulting in one minor injury, according to Paulo Serra, the commander of the Pontinha Volunteer Firefighters.
The accident occurred when the ambulance, belonging to the Pontinha Volunteer Firefighters, was en route on an emergency run to the Beatriz Ângelo Hospital and collided with a light vehicle.
One firefighter, who sustained minor injuries, was taken to the hospital, along with the patient being transported in the ambulance at the time of the collision.
The firefighter has since returned to duty, the same source added.
