An official from the local government in the Lisbon district detailed that the Talude Militar area covers a large expanse, spanning three parishes, with some parts of the territory being public and others private.
Regarding the land where last week’s demolition of 55 precarious structures took place, this was identified as private property, and the owner was notified about this operation, according to the local government.
The Loures City Council began demolishing 64 precarious structures a week ago, which were home to 161 people.
Within two days, 55 were demolished, but on the second day, 14 residents filed a precautionary measure, which the Lisbon Administrative Court accepted, leading to the suspension of the operations.
