After WYD, the first event to take place in the Tejo Trancão Park is already known

With World Youth Day over, the huge and controversial altar-palace installed in the Tejo Trancão Park will be put to its first use during the next Lisbon Academic Week, which will be held on September 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 at this location.

This event, which annually welcomes thousands of students from the capital, but also from all over the country, will be the first test of the new infrastructures installed in Parque das Nações.

Scheduling an event as important as this “meeting” of students in the Portuguese capital, and in what seems to be one of the “venues” best prepared to host concerts and festivals in the future, would have been a thoughtful decision to try to understand to what extent this part of the city has the capacity for this type of events.

Lisbon Academic Week is one of the events that marks the beginning of the winter season of shows in the city, and therefore seems to be the ideal one to test everything that needs to be checked before booking new events of this nature, especially for this new venue.

Almost all the details for the 38th edition of SAL have already been revealed, especially the line-up of artists who will perform at the new Parque Tejo Trancão.

The 38th Lisbon Academic Week will feature some of the best-known names in Brazilian funk, but national artists have not been left out:

September 22: MC Kevinho, MC Kekel and Kamala +1
September 23: Bishop, Yasmine and Papillon +1

We have taken into account the latest trends in the world of music and summer festivals, and we have brought together Portuguese and international artists to ensure that, at SAL, there is room for everyone to have fun.”
