On Monday, December 8th, a 32-year-old man was arrested after assaulting several officers of the Public Security Police in Porto.
Officers received a radio alert regarding a domestic violence situation.
Upon arriving at the scene, the police found the suspect inside his residence exhibiting hostile behavior. He intended to assault his mother, as stated by the Porto PSP Command in a communiqué.
The officers intervened to shield the potential victim and attempted to calm the suspect.
However, the suspect resisted, injuring the officers, who required medical attention.
Following these events, the man was arrested at 5:50 PM.
The detainee was brought before the competent judicial authorities and was remanded in custody, facing the most severe preventive measure.
