An 18-year-old man was arrested last week after assaulting a Public Security Police (PSP) officer in Loures, Lisbon.
The incident occurred on the 7th of the month, during a patrol operation. The PSP was alerted to an “individual causing disturbances and damage on the public roadway” in Moscavide.
“Upon arriving at the scene, officers observed the suspect who immediately approached them and kicked one of the officers,” stated a report issued on Saturday by the Lisbon Metropolitan Police Command (Cometlis).
Due to his “aggressive” behavior, the young man was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of causing bodily harm.
He was subsequently released and scheduled to appear before the competent Judicial Authority.
