Aguiar-Branco visits the district of Bragança in another “Close Parliament”

The initiative called “Parlamento próximo” was launched by José Pedro Aguiar-Branco in the previous legislative session, aiming to bring the Assembly of the Republic closer to discussions and activities with civil society organizations across various regions of the country.

So far, “Parlamento próximo” has taken place in the districts of Vila Real, Leiria, Guarda, Évora, and Faro.

In the district of Bragança today, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco will meet with local officials, students, and civil society organizations, accompanied by deputies Hernâni Dias and Nuno Gonçalves, both from PSD, and Júlia Rodrigues from PS.

At 09:15, the President of the Assembly of the Republic is scheduled to meet with students at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, following which statements to the press are expected.

Mid-morning, he will travel to Podence in the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros to visit the Casa do Careto. Subsequently, in Mirandela, he will engage with the Association of Producers in Integrated Protection of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (APPITAD).

After lunch, he will visit the Center for Environmental Interpretation and Animal Recovery in Felgar (CIARA) in Torre de Moncorvo.

José Pedro Aguiar-Branco’s final engagement will be a meeting with the mayors of the Bragança district at the Town Hall in Vila Flôr.
