The Alabama Shakes have been announced as the latest addition to the NOS Alive festival lineup. The American band is set to return to Portugal, performing on the festival’s opening day, July 9, 2026.
“NOS Alive’26 and Alabama Shakes. We have a date at the Heineken Stage on July 9,” stated a post by the music festival’s organizers on social media.
On the first day of the festival, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will take the main stage, Palco NOS, and now Alabama Shakes join Matt Berninger on the Heineken Stage.
Other confirmed acts for the 2026 edition include Twenty One Pilots, Teddy Swims, Lorde, Pixies, Florence + The Machine, and Buraka Som Sistema.
Alabama Shakes hail from Athens, Alabama, in the United States, consisting of Brittany Howard (vocals and guitar), Heath Fogg (guitar), and Zac Cockrell (bass).

The band’s debut album, Boys & Girls, entered directly at number one on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart, earning multiple Grammy Award nominations.
Alabama Shakes are also known for iconic performances, such as at the White House and on Saturday Night Live.
Their second album, Sound & Color, released a decade ago, garnered several Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical), Best Rock Performance, and Best Rock Song for the track Don’t Wanna Fight.
The NOS Alive festival is scheduled for July 9, 10, and 11 of next year at Passeio Marítimo de Algés in Lisbon.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale, with three options available: daily tickets, general passes, and two-day passes.
Ticket prices remain unchanged from this year’s edition. Daily tickets are priced at 84 euros, two-day passes are available for 168 euros, and three-day passes cost 199 euros.
