A show that promises to make this summer’s nights even more magical is coming to Sintra. Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the genie of the lamp are the main characters of “Magical Garden Aladdin Sintra”, the immersive – and interactive – show that will bring light, magic and adventure to the New Garden of the National Palace of Queluz. It all happens on June 28, at 9.30pm.
The show has already had two successful editions, attracting over 320,000 visitors to Lisbon and Porto. Today, you have a new opportunity to discover this magical, one-kilometer-long route that takes you through giant light sculptures, video mapping, holograms, augmented reality and interactive installations.
All in an already magical setting, the New Garden of the National Palace of Queluz. As soon as you enter, you realize that the story unfolds along the way, thanks to holograms that bring to life the three main characters: Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and the genie of the lamp. These are also supported by a number of cutting-edge multimedia experiences that create sound and visual environments.
But that’s not all: you can walk through a tunnel of light that, as you go, gives you the illusion of “traveling” on Aladdin’s flying carpet, or make wishes to the Genie of the Lamp, and even observe an impressive water fountain over 10 meters wide.
The show is developed by the OCUBO studio, with the partnership of the Parques de Sintra and the support of Sintra Town Council. Performers include Igor Lima as Aladdin, Jasmin Andreia Brasil as Jasmine, and Quimbé as the Genie of the Lamp.
The “Aladdin Sintra Magic Garden” will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, between June 28 and September 10, from 9.30pm. Tickets range from 8 to 14 euros, with free entry for children under 3. Tickets can be purchased here.
