Albufeira: Camping leaves contacts for affected family members and guests

An extreme wind phenomenon caused damage at the Albufeira Camping Park, resulting in one fatality on Saturday morning. HolaCamp, the company operating the park, has established a dedicated information line for affected families and guests.

The company provided a phone number: +00351 289587630 and an email: ge***@**************ra.net for inquiries.

HolaCamp reported that the “severe meteorological phenomenon affected part of the park’s facilities,” resulting in “damage to various areas of the site.”

“We are working closely with Civil Protection, emergency services, and local authorities, following all their guidance and protocols. The affected area remains isolated and closed, and the rest of the site has been evacuated or secured according to the authorities’ instructions,” stated the company.

This marks the third fatality related to the effects of Storm Cláudia. The first two victims were a couple who died in a flooded house in Fernão Ferro, in Seixal.

The expert warned that the frontal surface has crossed the entire national territory and is expected to pass through “the eastern part of the Algarve” during the afternoon, indicating “conditions still exist for such a situation” in that area.
