Al’Fado will present a short Matinee concert with Free entrance at the MNAC

Al’Fado is a fresh Israeli-Portuguese ensemble based in the rich music scene of Lisbon.
It focuses on music originating from the Iberian Peninsula, through the cultures of the medieval-times Hebrew communities and the chant in an an ancient language that mixes influences of Spanish, Portuguese and Hebrew called Ladino.
This musical tradition is inspired by other local musical genres such as Fado and Flamenco that are also incorporated into their work.
The beauty of this music is now available to new audiences.
Al’Fado is half Israeli and half Portuguese.
The group features singer Gal Tamir, Avishay Back on bass guitar, João Roque on guitars and Diogo Melo de Carvalho on percussion.
