
A fire broke out at Monte do Cerro at 1:09 PM in a forested area, as reported by the Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of Baixo Alentejo.
At 3:30 PM, firefighting operations mobilized 98 personnel, supported by 31 vehicles and seven air assets, according to the Civil Protection website.
The air resources included both light and heavy helicopters, along with a reconnaissance aircraft.
