All 18 districts in Portugal are under a yellow weather warning for precipitation from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), effective from 00:36 to 18:00 today.
The yellow warning, the least severe on a three-level scale, is issued whenever there is a risk to certain activities dependent on weather conditions.
The IPMA forecasts for today on the mainland include periods of very cloudy skies and showers, sometimes heavy, occasionally with hail and accompanied by thunderstorms. The intensity and frequency of these conditions are expected to decrease from the coast to the inland regions starting mid-afternoon.
The IPMA also predicts generally light to moderate winds.
