Infarmed has ordered the suspension and market withdrawal of all batches of all cosmetic products by Gold Spell Portugal Lda. This decision, announced in a communiqué shared on the Infarmed website, comes after a complaint revealed the presence of products in the national market labeled as cosmetics that fail to meet the full requirements established by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and Council of 30 November, and Decree-Law No 23/2025 of 19 March.
The statement further details that the company introduced several products to the national market without ensuring compliance with current legal standards, specifically concerning Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Assessment, Product Information Files, and labeling, rendering the products non-compliant.
As a result, Infarmed has mandated that entities in possession of these products should neither make them available nor use them. Consumers who own these products are also advised not to use them.
