In a recent announcement, the GNR stated that an operation is underway aimed at reducing accidents, ensuring traffic flow, and supporting all road users, coinciding with the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, which traditionally sees individuals visiting cemeteries.
The GNR highlighted that a significant increase in road traffic is expected during this period, prompting a call for cautious driving from motorists.
The agency advises drivers to adhere to traffic regulations, paying particular attention to overtaking maneuvers, changes in direction, making U-turns, yielding right of way, and maintaining safe distances.
It also emphasizes the correct use of seatbelts and child restraint systems, avoiding mobile phone use while driving, adjusting speed according to road and traffic conditions, and refraining from consuming alcohol or psychoactive substances before or during driving.
