The Social Security administration has introduced an online simulator for social benefits that allows users to quickly determine their eligibility for various benefits, as announced by the government in an Instagram post.
“Did you know that you can simulate social benefits in just a few minutes? The online simulator helps you understand which support you may be entitled to, simply and quickly,” the announcement stated.
The government added that the “simulator automatically calculates potential benefits, such as family allowance, sickness benefit, unemployment benefit, or Social Insertion Income.”
The social support simulator by Social Security can be accessed through this link.
What do you need?
According to Social Security, “to answer the simulator’s questions as accurately as possible, you will need some information.”
“The questions aim to determine for which subsidies/allowances you might be eligible, and all requested data is relevant for certain social benefits, so it’s important to respond as accurately as possible,” the information states.
Additionally, consider the following:
- If you live, work, or have worked abroad, the results of this simulation may not accurately reflect your specific situation;
- The benefits presented in the simulation results relate to the person conducting the simulation and their dependents. For other household members to determine their entitled benefits, such as unemployment benefits, they should perform their own simulation.
