Almost 8 cents! A significant drop in fuel prices is coming

Fuel prices are set to decrease significantly at the start of next week, attributed to the decline in raw material prices on international markets this week.

Diesel is expected to drop by 6.5 cents, while gasoline will be 7.5 cents cheaper, according to the Contas Poupança program’s website.

These forecasts align with those published by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), which indicates that, “if the predictions for next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel should settle at €1.52/l, while simple gasoline 95 will decrease to €1.669/l“.

closed Thursday in the London futures market down 3.28%, at $63.33.

This decrease is being attributed to the market assessing the 90-day tariff pause announced yesterday by the United States.

North Sea crude, a European benchmark, ended the session down $2.15 from the previous day at the International Exchange (ICE), where it was priced at $65.48.

Oil nears four-year lows

“Oil continues to recede, with Brent declining 0.3% to $63.13 and WTI falling 0.5% to $60.11 – both continue trading near four-year lows. These declines remain influenced by demand concerns related to the US-China trade war,” reveals XTB, in a commentary provided to Notícias ao Minuto.
