The Municipality of Amarante, located in the Porto district, has announced an exhibition showcasing works by Eduardo Viana. The display will occupy three exhibit rooms at the Solar dos Magalhães and will be open to the public until August 31, with free admission.
The exhibition is set to feature pieces from the collection of the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum, alongside new works by Amadeo that have never before been presented in Amarante, according to a statement sent to Lusa.
Organizers noted that the interaction between the artworks by Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso and Eduardo Viana, focusing on landscapes, allows visitors to explore the affinities and contrasts between the two artists.
This event will take place in the city’s new cultural facility, while the Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Municipal Museum is temporarily closed for climate control upgrades.
Guided tours, both individual and group, will be available, but prior registration is required via the municipality’s website.
