André Ventura, the leader of the Chega party, was escorted off stage after feeling unwell during a rally in Tavira, Algarve, on Tuesday. The incident occurred at approximately 9:10 PM, while Ventura was delivering a speech. He paused before being immediately assisted by his team and carried outside the Tavira Fair and Exhibition Park.
Emergency services, including members of the Tavira Municipal Fire Department and an INEM advanced life support ambulance, arrived at the location to attend to Ventura on site.
The Expresso reported that André Ventura has since “recovered” and that “everything is fine.”
