Following the conclusion of the Council of Ministers meeting that reviewed and approved the General State Budget Execution Report for the third quarter, Vera Daves de Sousa addressed the press regarding the document now heading to the National Assembly.
The minister outlined that during the referenced period, revenues amounted to 5.95 trillion kwanzas (5.5 billion euros) while expenditures reached 6.31 trillion kwanzas (5.8 billion euros), resulting in a budget deficit of around 362.92 billion kwanzas. She further reported an operating surplus of 1.17 trillion kwanzas (just over one billion euros).
Regarding Angola’s public debt, encompassing both governmental and public enterprise obligations, the Finance Minister noted it stood at 60.08 trillion kwanzas (56.6 billion euros) by the end of the third quarter.
