The Judicial Police have arrested another man on suspicion of drug trafficking at the Boom Festival, which took place in Idanha-a-Nova from July 17 to 24.
In a statement sent to Notícias ao Minuto on Friday, July 25, the inspectors revealed that the man was caught red-handed yesterday selling drugs to festival-goers.
At the time of his arrest, the 32-year-old Portuguese man was in the process of selling various drugs, which were seized.
Among the seized drugs were 28 tablets of MDMA, 15 grams of ketamine, and 15 grams of cannabis. The suspect also had with him three precision scales, bags for individual packaging of drugs, and cash amounting to 500 euros and 320 US dollars, originating from illegal sales.
The detainee will now appear before a judicial investigation to determine appropriate coercive measures. The inquiry is led by the Department of Investigation and Penal Action (DIAP) of Castelo Branco.
It is noteworthy that more than a dozen people were arrested for drug trafficking during the festival, selling drugs to festival-goers.
In addition to the arrests, authorities seized hundreds of doses of drugs and thousands of euros from illegal sales made during Boom.
