The Polícia Judiciária has arrested another suspect in connection with an attack on a car carrying FC Porto fans in Lisbon on June 10.
This latest arrest follows the detention of three other suspects in the incident, bringing the total number arrested to seven, as confirmed by the Polícia Judiciária.
The detainees are charged with attempted murder, aggravated bodily harm, arson, robbery, possession and use of prohibited weapons, and possession and use of pyrotechnic devices, the police force stated in a press release.
The incident followed a hockey match between Sporting and FC Porto at the João Rocha Pavilion in Alvalade. After the match, ‘verde e brancos’ fans ambushed a car carrying five members of the Super Dragões near a traffic light in the Lumiar area.
As a result of the attack by a group of 10 to 20 individuals, a fire broke out in the vehicle, causing four injuries—two of which were serious. The injured were treated at the scene and then transported to Santa Maria Hospital.
