On December 31, starting at 10:30 p.m., Elsa Gomes will kick off the festivities with a concert featuring popular hits and rhythms designed to engage the audience in singing and dancing. This act will be followed at midnight by a dazzling light show in the skies over Leiria.
At 12:30 a.m. on January 1, Anselmo Ralph, a well-loved artist among the Portuguese public, will perform in the historic center with his repertoire of hits, renowned for drawing millions of listens and sold-out shows.
From 2:00 a.m., Kid Loco & Los Mysterios will take over the stage with an ‘after party’ set, promising electronic beats and Latin fusions that will keep the dance floor active until 4:00 a.m.
The New Year’s celebration in Leiria is tailored to the historic center, involving technical and security teams to ensure the event proceeds comfortably and safely. Access routes and traffic will be managed during the setup and throughout the night.
The city has committed to enhancing urban cleaning and will provide selective waste containers at the concert area, with dedicated recycling points and pavement washing following the event.
Street entertainment will extend across various squares within the event area from December 30 to January 2.
According to councilor Luís Lopes, the pyromusical show will last for 10 minutes, with fireworks launching from the Castle, as traditionally done.
Simultaneously, organized by the Liga dos Amigos da Praia do Pedrógão, this beach will host a program on December 30 and 31, featuring performances by Breyth, Fifty and André L, and Mello and Cary Dominic.
Since November 28, when the Christmas lights were illuminated, the Leiria Natal program has been ongoing and will continue until January 4, spearheaded by the city’s council.
