Shopping at the supermarket has become more expensive over the past week, with certain foods standing out, including hake, which is now priced above 11 euros per kilogram.
Data from DECO PROTeste also indicates that a basket containing 63 essential goods is now 3.56 euros more expensive than it was in the first week of the year.
Over the last week, it increased by 77 cents (up 0.32%) and now costs 239.72 euros.
Top Price Increases
Between May 7 and May 14, alongside fresh hake, the most significant percentage price hikes were observed in products such as curly lettuce (up 13%), mackerel (up 12%), and whole-grain cereals (7%).
