
Four men carried out an armed robbery at a jewelry store in São João da Talha, Loures, on the morning of Thursday, December 4, confirmed an official source from the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) to Notícias ao Minuto.
The alert for the robbery, which took place at a jewelry store in Largo de São João Baptista, was given at 10:50 a.m., according to the same source.
Armed with a firearm, the suspects managed to steal several gold items, as well as watches. The exact value of the stolen goods is still being determined.
Subsequently, according to witnesses interviewed by authorities, the assailants fled in a vehicle on the A1 motorway heading south.
As reported by Correio da Manhã, three of the suspects entered the jewelry store while a fourth waited in the car to facilitate their escape.
The PSP promptly informed all units in Lisbon and Setúbal and alerted the Polícia Judiciária (PJ), who will now oversee the investigation of the crime.
The PJ confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto that they are already investigating the robbery, which reportedly did not result in any injuries.
