A fire broke out in a warehouse storing hay bales in Alto Alentejo, according to a source from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command. The alert was raised at 10:15 a.m., and the fire was contained within the warehouse.
There were no reported injuries, and the Judicial Police are investigating the incident, the source added.
A total of 29 emergency personnel from Arronches, Campo Maior, and Elvas fire departments, along with the GNR, were deployed to the scene. They were supported by 14 vehicles, including two agricultural tractors and two backhoes.
