The Beja District Command of the PSP, in a statement, indicated that “in recent months, the PSP has received several reports” describing that this suspect “enters, during the day, into inhabited residences, either by climbing or taking advantage of open doors, stealing objects that are easily accessible and concealable”.
“This repeated behavior has caused social alarm, especially among the elderly population living alone,” the police added.
According to the PSP, the suspect, with a criminal background for the same type of offense, was brought before a judicial authority for a preliminary hearing and was given the most severe coercive measure, preventive detention.
