
“The fires were ignited using a lighter in an area with extensive forest cover near residential buildings and only did not escalate into more serious proportions due to the swift intervention of the Orvalho volunteer firefighters,” explained the PJ in a statement.
The alleged perpetrator of the four forest fire crimes was identified and detained by the Central Directorate.
During this period, conditions of maximum fire risk were present, with temperatures around 35°C and low relative humidity, conducive to causing large-scale fires.
The woman will be brought before a judge for an initial judicial hearing and the imposition of coercive measures.
