In a statement released today, the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) disclosed that on Wednesday, the PSP of Montijo reported a rape complaint involving a 9-year-old girl, “who was subsequently taken to a hospital unit for forensic examinations.”
“Given the severity of the reported situation, all necessary steps were immediately taken, and it was found that from April until now, the perpetrator forced his half-sister to engage in significant sexual acts, using physical aggression,” stated the PJ’s report.
According to the PJ, both the victim and the suspect live in the same house, along with nine other people, adults and children, all family members.
The detainee, who has no prior criminal record, will appear today for the initial judicial interrogation to determine coercive measures, the PJ added.
