A 22-year-old man was arrested on Thursday in Abrantes, Leiria district, on suspicions of child pornography offenses, the Polícia Judiciária (PJ) announced in a statement released Friday.
Investigators reported that the arrest was made in the act, following search warrants executed at the suspect’s residence.
At the location, PJ authorities confirmed that the suspect was in possession of “dozens of multimedia files with pornographic content involving minors,” found on both his mobile phone and computer.
The individual is scheduled to appear in court today for an initial judicial hearing to determine appropriate preventive measures.
